Abstract (EN)

While buying a fabric or cloth, the customer is deciding by touching it. This swift and practical method is also being used in manufacturing period. But because of the decision is being so subjective, this method is influencing the quality variations significantly and also sometimes contradicts the customer expectations from cloth and/or fabric grasp and surface properties. For this reason, to produce same kind of grasp on fabric, it is needed to use subjective determinations and these should be supported with objective measurements. By the way, to create same level of perception for everybody else on the determination of fabric sensorial properties, it is needed to develop simple and practical methods. In this study, it has been designed and produced a prototype device with horizontal working principle. It has been investigated that frictional behavior of nonwoven fabrics which shows improvement in textile in recent years. It has been carried out experimental studies based on frictional surfaces of nonwoven fabrics gathered into a four distinct group according to fabric weight, fiber type, and finishing treatment. It has been tried to analyze relationship between frictional behavior with abrasion resistance and surface properties of nonwoven fabrics investigated frictional properties. Statistical analyses have been done with the aid of Design Expert packet programme.
