Özet (EN)
In this study, elastic-plastic stress analysis of rotating disks for nonlinear strain hardening and variable thickness, which varies with a parabolic function, are obtained for solid and annular disks with free ends, radially constrained and pressurized. It is investigated how elastic and plastic limit angular velocities, stresses, displacements and strains are influenced by disk geometry and hardening parameters for disks with different profiles. It is observed that, for solid disks, some disk profiles change the starting position of plastic deformation. For the same angular velocities it is obtained that stress, displacement and strains in parabolic disks are lower in magnitute than those in uniform thickness. Effects of parameters on optimum disk design for different boundary conditions are investigated. Elastic solution is obtained analytically in terms of hypergeometric functions and plastic solution is obtained numerically.
