Abstract (EN)
Dexketoprofen Trometamol is an analgesic drug in the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is used to treat mild to moderate pain conditions such as dysmenorrhea and toothache in musculoskeletal pain. Oral strip formulations are an alternative option for geriatric, pediatric and dysphagic patients who have a fear of choking while using tablets and capsules. In this thesis study, oral strip formulation was created and characterized by solvent casting method using HPMC and Xanthan Gum polymers. The obtained oral strip was evaluated in terms of content uniformity, disintegration time, surface pH, surface morphology, folding resistance, weight change, thickness, transparency, tensile strength, active substance amount determination, moisture content, active substance-excipient compatibility. In the thesis study, it was determined that rapid effect was achieved with short disintegration time, and as a result of DSC and FT-IR studies, it was observed that there was no interaction within the formulation and successful formulation was produced. It was also observed that it showed good mechanical properties with high folding resistance data.
