The founding role of the event in Deleuze's philosophy: The Leibniz reading

This thesis contains the evaluation of the 'Event' concept by Deleuze on the basis of ontology by way of Stoics and Leibniz. In the first part of our study which is made up of two parts, the basic concepts of Philosophy which are Transcendence and Immanence, Representation and Identity, Difference and Repetition are discussed. In the second section the concepts of Event and Difference in Leibniz's philosophy are explained, and Deleuze's Leibnizian fold and the concept of Leibniz's Event are discussed. A general evaluation is made by examining how the events can be handled on the ontological basis.
