Özet (EN)

At the beginning of the Iron Age, Mediterrannean World has changed in meaning with social, political and economic and gained a new and different structure. Dating from 1200 B.C. during the Big Aegean Migration, peoples,who came from Hellas, pass the Aegean and come to West Anatolian coast. They built new settlement, where has good possibility about seaports and area which is defended easily. They had to create a series of managerial system which is concrete and keeps them safe so Greek Polis appears. Even this system goes for a while, they need to build colonies because of the raising population, famine, drought and demand of raw metarial. Colonial movements started at the 8. century B.C. and ended at the middle of the 6. century B.C. South Italia, North of Aegean, Blacksea and West Anatolia coasts fulled up with Greek colonies in times. And in this period; it?s understood by the ancient written sources, Greeks framed up colony cities in Cilicia, too.In this thesis, it?s firstly mentioned at the end of the Bronze Age?s Mediterranean World?s political,social and economic constitution and after that reasons and results of Greek Colonisation and the character of colonies. Besides the analysis of Clicia, as a main subject, Cilician region?s circumstance during the Iron Age and archaeological investigations in colony cities which isaccording to the written source was built by the Greeks in the Colonisation period. Most of cities are continued excavation campaign and in this thesis, it is tried to reach a conclusion with data, come from these excavations and investigation up to now.
