Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, a soil-structure interaction of transportation structures under static and dynamic loads (train passages) is studied. Under the bridges main title in thesis, a system-model was created based on the physical characteristics of the Weiherfeld railway bridge in Karlsruhe, Germany. In the study, the analyses were performed by using Plaxis 2D software which is a finite element method program. The sandy and clayey soils are analysed to find their availability and performance under the static and dynamic train loads. As a result, some improvement methods are also suggested for the sections having insufficient strength. Keywords: Bridges, Soil-structure interaction, Finite element method, Plaxis software
