In this thesis, models of a railway wagon and track, on which the wagon moves, were investigated in three parts. In the first part, the track and elastic ground were considered together and modelled as a discrete system. Equations of motion were obtained as second order ordinary differential equations were solved by means of Runge-Kutta method. In the second part, the railway wagon was considered as a simple plate. Required equations of motion were derived and solved by including Kelvin type boundary conditions. In the third part of this study, the systems comprised of track-elastic ground and railway wagon, which were modelled separately, were considered together by taking into account the wheeling system represented by a spring and dashpot system and solved for a given time t Sample simulation results were obtained and examined in the form of graphs.Key Words: Vibration, wagon vibration, rail-wagon system.
