Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of demographic and other socio-demographic characteristics of individuals on sustainable consumption behavior were examined. In this field research conducted for this purpose, it was evaluated that 394 participants had an effect on the gender, marital status, age, education, occupation, shopping characteristics and income levels of the individuals. In this study, "Sustainable Consumption Behavior Scale", which consists of four dimensions, was adapted and developed into Turkish through the studies of Doğan, Bulut and Çımrın (2015). In the study, the variables affecting the sustainable consumption levels are household income level, individual income level, occupation, age, who is the shopper, frequency of shopping and frequency of sudden shopping. It was observed that the educational level of the participants and their gender did not affect the sustainable consumption levels. On the other hand, it has been found that marital status has a partial effect on sustainable consumption levels. There was a significant relationship between dimension scores. It was observed that the unnecessary consumption dimension was inversely related to all other dimensions. In terms of environmental sensitivity, saving and reusability, it is seen that any high dimension will have a positive effect on the other dimensions. KeyWords: Sustainable Consumption, Sustainable Consumption Behavior.
