In Perıod Of Democrat Party Woman Rights (1946-1960) Abstract The concept of women's rights in Turkey and especially the press since the Tanzimat Period and Second Constitutional Monarchy was announced through the intellectuals. In this process, women play an important role in the development of society as a mother. After the Independence War, the Republic was declared and women's rights struggle was supported. One of the biggest steps in the progress of a country is that men and women can walk equally. Steps towards ensuring this equality in Turkey have ocurred granting of political rights to women in 1935, the community has taken the time to accept this equation. This thesis has attempted to investigate the place of women in the society from the transition to multi-party life until 1960, in which direction DP has changed conservative line and women's rights, and to establish the connections between the first wave women's movement and the women's movement in the DP period. After Atatürk's death, the women's movement was put on hold because women's rights were granted before. CHP's efforts to keep up with the world'S conditions have resulted in the establishment of DP. The DP determined a conservative line with voting concerns; on the other hand, it also tried to take part in democracy. These two situations led the party to contradiction. Afterwards, women were confronted with the imposition of house closure, non-work and wearing sheets. Women are framed by a consumer role confined to motherhood and home space.
