The effects of inspection in classroom teachers in classroom motivation

This study was carried out in order to reveal the opinions of the teachers working as classroom teachers in the public schools of MoNE regarding the effect of inspection on their motivation in the class. The study was carried out in a phenomenological study design from qualitative research models. The study group of the study is composed of 7 teachers working in Kepez county of Antalya province in 2015-2016 academic year. Semi-structured interview form was used as data collection tool. The voice recordings of the talks were made. Descriptive analysis and content analysis were performed on the obtained data. The results of the analysis of research data show that the effects of inspection on motivation in the classroom; Pre-observation, observation and post-observation processes. The effects of lesson planning, implementation, assessment and evaluation processes, motivation effects of classroom management processes, and the effects of classroom teachers on classroom motivations of classroom supervisors under the supervision of the last inspector constituted the sub-themes of these dimensions. A great majority of the participants in the study were underlined for the audit procedure. They agreed that inspection was necessary, but it did not serve the purpose. The results of the research are important in helping to elucidate the advantages and disadvantages of supervision by the supervisor and the supervision by the school administration, while shedding light on the effects on the motivation of supervised teachers.
