Abstract (EN)
Moringa Oleifera Lam Extract (MOLE) is a member of Moringaceae family. Also the plant known as to have a high antioxidant potency and have included like antimicrobial, antidiabetic, hypocholesterolemic, anticancer, hepatoprotective, hypotensive and cardioprotective activities. It has been also known that the plant increases a sexual potential. Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) were increased in cryptorchidism and therefore cause infertility by damaging sperm DNA and germ cell apoptosis. There are several pathways to protect cells against the deleterious effects of cellular stress. One of them is the synthesis of a protein family called by Heat Shock Proteins (HSP). HSP synthesis is increased in cells, which is affected by heat shock, chemical toxicity, environmental and pathophysiological stress. Additionally, it is also known that HSP70 protein levels are increased due to cryptorchidism. In the present study was investigated the antioxidant effects of two different doses of Moringa Oleifera Lam Extract (MOLE) on experimental induced cryptorchit testes of rats. In our study 15-17 days old 42 Sprague Dawley male rats were used and seperated into the 4 groups. Control, Crypto Control, Crypto + 400mg/kg MOLE, Crypto + 800mg/kg MOLE. Rats were sacrificed in 15'th day. Beside the light microscopic examinations we analysed the SOD, MDA and TP biochemical parameters. Also we analysed the concentration of the HSP70 with Western Blot and for apoptosis with immunohistochemistry technique. The result of the our study are show that after the cryptorchidism there is ruptures from intestitial spaces, seperation of the germ cells from basal membrane, falls of the germ cells to the lumen of tubule, perivascular fibrosis, oedema, increasing of the HSP70 and apoptosis. Also in the Crypto + 800mg/kg MOLE treated group we investigated that all the patologic damages were decreased.
