Abstract (EN)

Schizophrenia is a complex syndrome that includes positive, negative and cognitive symptom categories, it's a neurodevelopmental problem genetic, environmental and social factors contribute to, which begins in prenatal period. It often occurs in late adolescence and early adulthood. The synaptic pruning hypothesis attempts to explain why the disease is characteristicly begins in the late adolescent period. Prepulse inhibition of the startle reflex response refers to the ability of a weak prestimulus to transiently inhibit the response to a closely following strong sensory stimulus. This effect represents an operational index of sensorimotor gating and is found to be deficient in schizophrenia. Uridine, an endogenous molecule, has significant effects on brain phospholipid metabolism, and when given externally, it has been shown sufficiently passes through the blood-brain barrier and increases phospholipid precursors in the brain. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of üridine in experimental populations that are not statistically significant according to OSAI. alone and the effect with haloperidol, a conventional antipsychotic, and Chronic use will be compared in terms of efficacy in experimental populations with low and high OSAI. study is a planned study on the role of uridine treatment of schizophrenia on the experimental schizophrenia model.
