Abstract (EN)
In this study, computer programs that simulate the width of plume, thenear field, far field and bacterial decay dilutions of wastewaterdischarged into the ambient sea water by outfall systems have beendeveloped. The effects upon the total dilution of current pattern and itsspeed; the orientation of diffuser pipe according to the currentdirection; the density of the ambient sea water whether it is constant orvarying through the depth have been investigated.Computer programs are useful and reliable tools for the sea outfallsizing and performance problems.Developed computer programs have been applied to existent AnamurSea Outfall System.Science Code : 624.02.03Key Words : Dilution , sea outfall, diffuser, modellingPage Number : 152Adviser : Doc.
