Abstract (EN)

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Combined Training on rowing athlete's rowing ergometer performance. Methods: The study consisted of 24 male athletes actively, aged 19-22,involved in the Rowing team at the Naval Academy (12 subject,12 control group).Anthropometric measurements (Tanita BC418), pulse measurements, strength tests (Takai) and rowing ergometer tests (Concept II-Model D) were taken before and after the 8-week training period. Findings: In the last test data of the Subject Group, the right hand force was determened as 83 ± 6.14, left hand force as 54.25 ± 6.74, back force as 191.08 ±18.33 leg force as 170.75 ± 15.04 Rowing Ergometer Maximum Power as 466.66 ± 22.44 Rowing Ergometer Average Power as 237.75 ±20.88. Rowing Ergometer depending on transition times of 500,1000,1500 2000 meters was determined as 1.33 ± 0.093 / 3.39 ± 0.10 / 5.34 ±0.15 / 7.33 ± 0.31 respectively. When the last data of the control group were examined, it was detected that the right hand force was 51.6 ± 6.87, left hand force was 48.18 ± 5.23, back force was Í63.0 ± 20.1, leg force was 152.08± 18.7, rowing ergometer maximum power was 464.7 ± 24.27. (watt), rowing ergometer average power was 217.8 ± 17.28 (watt). Rowing ergometer depending on transition times of 500,1000,15002000 meters was determined as 1.64 ± 0.29 / 3.50± 0.19 / 5.48 ± 0.14 / 7.59 ± 0.31 respectively. Results: Subject and control group and there was a significant difference between the right and left hand forces, back force, back ergometer in 500 m and p. with the value p<.0,05, but there was no difference in leg strength, back ergometer in 1000,1500,2000 m distance performances in the value of p<.0.05. Keywords: Rowing, Rowing Ergometer, Lactic Acid, High Intensity Interval Training, Multi-Joint Strength Exercises, Core Training
