Abstract (EN)
Cosmic rays come from the outer space at speeds close to the speed of light. They strike the Earth?s atmosphere and their interaction with the atmospheric nuclei produces secondary particles. Among these secondaries are muons which are the most numerous charged particles on the surface of the Earth. Muons coming perpendicular to the surface have shorter path than those coming with an angle. Therefore, the vertical muon intensity at sea level is expected to be greater than the intensities at higher degrees. In this work, we have investigated the angular dependence of the muon intensity using Geant4 simulation package . It can be concluded that muon intensity decreases with cos2?, where ? is the angle with the vertical.
