The first section of this study informs on emergence of certain maritime zones recognized in the international law and their legal status and it investigates under what conditions and how the islands can own these zones, without titling separately. Although the title of this study is set as "Eastern Mediterranean Case" the third and the last section provides recent Turkey-related developments in the Eastern Mediterranean. Next, it discusses the possible effects of the islands on the delimitation in the region. The settlement of disputes between Turkey and Greece is necessity however, it is a fact that they cannot be solved. This study aims to outline this subject and conclude it in the most optimum way.
