Abstract (EN)
In this study, a mathematical model study was carried out to determine the methane and electric energy potential and greenhouse gas effect that can be generated by approximately 1320000 tons of solid waste disposed in the 1st landfill area of Zonguldak. LandGEM and Tabasaran & Rettenberger mathematical calculation methods were used. Model constants were determined using characterization and annual average precipitation information. It was found that the LandGEM model can produce 340 m3 gas/ton with CAA constant, 199 m3 gas/ton with AP-42 constant and 195 m3 gas / ton with field constants. With Tabasaran & Rettenberger model constant, it was found to be 245 m3 gas/ton and with field constants as 164 m3 gas/ton. In the literature, the landfill gas that may occur per 1 ton of domestic waste is given in the range of 120-300 m3 gas/ton and the Tabasaran & Rettenberger models and LandGEM AP-42 and field data model are significant. Net energy potential was calculated using significant models. As a result of the comparison of the LandGEM model with the average hourly production quantities of the power plant operating in 2015-2018, the model was found to be meaningless. The calculations made with Tabasaran & Rettenberger model were found to be significant and it was determined that the plant has 225708293 m3 gas and 197743 MW electric energy potential until 2029 during productive period. It is calculated that there is a potential of 21.3% reduction in the amount of 1653782 tons of CO2 (eq) that may occur in the field as a result of the electricity generation facility activity by 2029.
