Abstract (EN)
The most important effect on the variation of building loads and buildings dynamiccharacteristics are the filling walls. Building walls are neglected as a structural element in thebuilding analysis. The reason of this is that the effect of vertical rigidity of filling walls hasnot proven and, valid model and also the analysis of building wall are difficult.It?s an important point that either the period of the building considering only the structuralelements or the period of the structure with walls will be in use.At the beginning of an earthquake, rigidity of structure with walls is high then. During theearthquake the walls will be streched and will not be in use, because of damage. Thus theperiod of structure will equal to the structure consistine of only structural elements. So theperiod will be equal to the period which will be obtained from conventional.In this study, we will study the building structure and effect of walls the effect of walls on thestructural response, rigidity and natural frequency. On the other hand due to he earthquakeregulation in Turkey, in the effect of the filling walls will be considered in the calculationsand depending on this, the period of the structure will be determined an compared with theobtained test results.In the first part of this study the purpose of this theris is explained and the research studies inthe literature are reviewed. In the 2nd part the effect of the filling walls on the structuralresponse is evaluated. Depencling on this computer model considering the filling walls isprepared and then period of structure with walls is determined. The 4th part consist of staticpushover analysis. In the 5th part samples for structures with walls are analyzed. In the 6thpart the obtained results are summarized and discussed.
