Abstract (EN)
Key Words: Short column, cracking, band window, nonlinear analysis, fill wall. In this study, the short column effects to response of reinforced concrete buildings subjected to earthquake are investigated. For this purpose, the three storeys reinforced concrete buildings are modeled and analyzed. In the first storey, different forms of band windows are considered. The material properties of reinforced concrete beam and columns and fill wall are considered as nonlinear. The nonlinear analyses of all mathematical models are carried out by using of LUSAS finite element analysis packet programmed. The graphics of load- top and first stories displacements are illustrated. The stress curves of selected columns are also presented. Furthermore, the nonlinear crack growths are monitored for selected columns of all models.
