The design of earthquake-resistant structures is of great importance in earthquake-prone regions. The design spectrum, a fundamental tool in earthquake engineering, describes the variation of ground motion in terms of acceleration, velocity and displacement concerning different structural periods. This research investigates the effects of ground motion scaling methods, soil conditions and bedrock selection on the design spectrum. Studies show that ground motion scaling methods have significant effects on site-specific behavior analysis. These methods affect the earthquake design of structures, causing changes in spectral shape and response levels. The study of scaling methods provides valuable information about the effects on the structural design spectrum. The stability of a structure is strongly influenced by the bedrock and soil conditions. The amplification effects of soil components and the way they are stacked have the potential to significantly alter the design spectrum. The effect of selecting a particular bedrock on the response spectrum used in structural designs is investigated in this study. As a result, the effect of scaling of strong ground motion records in the time and frequency domain on the design spectrum is analyzed and compared with different bedrock selections separately and together. Therefore, the effects of different bedrock selections and scaling methods on the design spectrum have been investigated.
