Özet (EN)

Performance-based analysis is used for predicting the behavior of reinforced concrete structures under dynamic loads. Specification for Buildings to be Built in Earthquake-Prone Regions (DBYBHY) allows to use linear elastic and non-linear inelastic methods for performance evaluations of existing reinforced concrete buildings. In this study, seismic performances of 5- and 7-storey reinforced concrete frame buildings with torsional irregularity indices 1.10 and 1.21 were evaluated, and the results obtained using different methods were compared. Among the linear elastic methods, ?Equivalent Seismic Force Method (EDYY)?, and, among the non-linear elastic methods, ?Pushover Analysis (AEDYY)? and ?Time-History Analysis (ZTAHY)?, were used for seismic performance evaluation. Based on the results of analyses performed in two directions using EDYY and ZTAHY, it is observed that damage levels at beam and column sections meet the requirements of ?life safety? (CG) performance level defined by DBYBHY. On the other hand, the requirements of CG performance level are not met for the 7-storey buildings with torsional irregularity indices 1.10 and 1.21 based on the results of analyses using AEDYY since the ratio of beams falling into advanced damage region (İHB) at a single storey does not meet the requirements of CG performance level.
