Abstract (EN)
Purpose: To define the demographic, histopathologic and clinic characteristics of patients who applied to Akdeniz Univercity hospital and to define the stage at the application date to our clinic and to evaluate the survival rates after the surgical treatment. Methods: The data was collected from the archives of Akdeniz Univercity Hospital Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Department between 2001-2017 years, ın a retrospective way. This article contains 164 patients data analysis of which was first applied to our deparment and operated or, patients who was referred to our clinic after first surgery with the diagnose of cutaneus melanoma. Results: The patient median age was 56 years and 98 (%59,8) patients were males. The most commen subtype was noduler melanoma (n=35, %21,3). The most common primary site was the lower extremities (n=55, %33,5). The most common Breslow thickness was >4mm (n=61, %37,2). Only 24 (%14,6) patients' Breslow thickness is less than 1mm. Sentinel node was looked in 76 patients. Complete lymphadenectomy were done to 101 patients. In 158 patients whose data were enough to evaluate the stage, the most common stage was stage 2 (n=73, %44,5). Five year overall survival rate is %58. Conclusion: Our presentation is descriptive article that includes current experince and outcomes of surgical therapy of our department more than 10 yearsin 164 cutaneus melanma patients. It gives a snapshot info about demografic, histologic, clinic distrubution and survival analysis of cutaneus melanoma patients in Antalya region. Key words: Cutaneus melanoma, Antalya region, Breslow thickness, Sentinel lymph node, staging
