Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to develop a synthetic artificial membrane system developed using carbon nanotubes (CNT) which can be used to predict skin permeability of compounds.Multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) were used to developed these membrane systems.Initially, the suitability of the prepared membranes were tested by performing penetration experiments with model molecule ibuprofen. The logKp values were then calculated. The calculated logKp values were compared with the logKp values from the literature obtained using human excised skin. This comparison showed that the best membrane system that can be a model for the human skin is a prepared membrane system with MWCNT containing 1% bovine serum albumine placed in double layer cellophane membrane. This membrane was used for further experiments.Penetration experiments using developed membrane system have been carried out using naproxen, salicylic acid, ketoprofen, etodolac which have similar physicochemical propertiesnd sildenafil which has different physicochemical and therapeutic properties.The logKp values were calculated by using develpoed membrane after penetration experiments and compared with the logKp values from the literature obtained using human skin. The suitability of the produced data have been investigated.In conclusion, it has been shown that, the developed membrane system with MWCNT containing 1% bovine serum albumine placed in double layer cellophane membrane can be used to predict penetration of compounds through the skin. It is already planned to carry out similar penetration experiments with other active substances that have different physicochemical properties from the membrane and experimental data has been planned to be enhanced more.
