Adverbs of quantity in Derleme Sözlüğü

Culture is the collection of material and spiritual values that a nation has created from past to present and transferred from generation to generation. Language is the mirror that reflects culture and is an integral element for culture. The source that provides us with countless materials showing the relationship between culture and language is Anatolian dialects. The most detailed study prepared on Anatolian dialects is Derleme Sözlüğü. In this study, we focused on identifying words related to adverbs of quantity in Derleme Sözlüğü, which includes the vocabulary of Anatolian dialects in an orderly manner. The lexical entry of the quantity adverbs in the Derleme Sözlüğü were scanned and their usage areas were shown. In the introduction part of the study, the scope and purpose of the study were mentioned and the method followed was stated. In the second part of the study, the definitions of dialect by various linguists were given. The formation of Anatolian dialects as well as the formation of the Derleme Sözlüğü and the classifications made on Anatolian dialects were stated. In the third part of the study, definitions of various linguists about the concept of adverb andinformationabout the properties and classification of adverbs were given. After these classifications, the usage characteristics of adverbs of quantity were specified and the approaches of linguists to adverbs of quantity were determined. Adverbs of quantity were examined under four headings in terms of meaning and function: adverbs of quantity expressing equality, comparative, superlative and excessiveness. In the fourth part of the study, tables showing quantity adverb nomenclatures related to our subject determined in Derleme Sözlüğü were given. In the conclusion section of the study, the obtained data and inferences made based on the data were shared.
