Abstract (EN)

This dissertation is an analytical study of the symbols and mythical stories of a belief system known as Rê/Raa meaning ?The Path? that exists in Dersim. Dersim is the name of a large geographical region that is now smaller in size and known by the name Tunceli since 1936. In this analytical study, the content of the belief system known as Rê/Raa, its connection with societal institutions and the ?whole? that is created from all of its components were examined. By taking the mythical stories that support the content of this system and subjecting them to analysis through deconstruction, their effect on the region?s anthropology, in particular the formation of identity and personality of its inhabitants is discussed. Within this framework, by taking up the reasons behind the continued existence of this belief system that differs from monotheistic religions and examining its effect and lasting legacy on the identity and personality of Dersim people, the socio-economic processes of the region and the traces of the conflicts and conclusions during these processes are studied and discussed.
