An analysis of Derzizâde Ulvî's Dîvân

This work was done based upon Derzizâde Ulvî who was one of the important names of 16th Century classical Turkish poetry and his Divan's analyze. Although, he was one of the most important poet, there wasn't done any analyses for his Divan. This work was aimed in order to gain Ulvî's feelings, opinions and his imagination world for our literature and cultural life. In our work, the most richest copy of Divan, kept and registered in Süleymaniye Library Hâlet Efendi, Supplement department number 150, was targeted. The Divan was sorted and examined from different part of views. The Divan was formed by four chapters such as Religion, Community, Mysticism, Humanity and Nature. A lot of subjects belong to the poet's century such as Social, Religious, Architecturel, War and Fun life were identified and examined. As a result of this, Not only Ulvi's literature opinions but also the reflection of social life of his time were found out. Keywords: Derzizâde Ulvî , The Divan, 16th Century
