Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to design and develop capacitive touch sensor using two different methods.In the design and development phase of the thesis, capacitive sensors that are used in touch sensing devices are researched, and their working principles and the differences between them are examined. At the end of the research two identical touch sensing cards are designed with two different methods which are used in the design of projected capacitive sensors. By carrying out software development on the designed cards and providing the sensors working in environment with lots of electrical and electromagnetic noise, these types of capacitive sensors are made more reliable. Thanks to software that developed on one of the cards, frequency hopping is made by detecting the electrical and electromagnetic noise and so changing the operating frequency of the sensors.As well as this design and development, both of the touches sensing cards are tested under same conditions by loading software with the same filter values.By presenting and analyzing the obtained measurement results in graphical form, the result of which capacitive touch sensing method is more resistant and sensitive to which environment is decided. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods against each other are introduced.
