Abstract (EN)

When designing tanks for later manufacturing, consideration must be given to whether the tank will tolerate the operating conditions it is going through during the work period, in addition to the importance of reducing the cost as much as possible, choosing the appropriate materials and their quantities is the most important in reducing cost. The research aims to obtain a tank design that works efficiently under the influence of external pressure with the lowest possible thickness without affecting the tank's ability to withstand operating conditions. Often there is a decrease in the internal pressure of the tank, either due to errors in the design, errors in the operation, or due to a malfunction in the protection devices. This decrease in pressure results in tank deformation and it's out of service, causing large losses. Therefore, periodic maintenance of the tank and its accessories is always necessary. The appropriate design will reduce these expenses to a minimum while increasing reliability and obtaining a more efficient design capable of reducing maintenance and cost. In this study, the strength of the pressure vessel will be analyzed by the ANSYS Finite Element Assessment Program to arrive at a design for operation in a negative pressure condition with the smallest thickness possible. In addition to strengthening the tank with grooves and reinforcing rings, four different models were developed for the tank side surfaces, namely triangular stents, square stents, hexagonal stents, and spiral stents, and strengthened. Each model was evaluated separately under negative pressure as a numerical analysis.
