Abstract (EN)

An inverter is a major component of solar photovoltaic (PV) system for combining photo voltaic and battery. In this study, 600W high efficiency (%95) advanced inverter relevant to PV system has been designed and implemented. The inverter consist of two parts; the first is the synchronous DC-DC boost converter with variable input voltage from 9V to 60V and 12 to 80V DC constant output voltage according to the set point. The second part is DC-AC voltage source inverter. The sinusoidal bipolar SPWM has been used for triggering the gates of the IGBT switches in the inverter bridge. dsPIC16F877A microcontroller as embedded system part of inverter has been utilized. The MATLAB, Simulink has been used for simulation studies on the inverter. Experimental results and simulation studies show that the performance of our design is satisfactory.
