Desing of performance analyzer for radiant heaters and baby incubators based on quality standards

The radiant heater is a device with a certain temperature at which the premature babies and, in particular, the weak, unstable newborns are placed in order to protect them from infectious diseases. It is produced according to TS EN 60601-2-21 standard. Early and / or troubled infants have a constant temperature in a sterile environment to prevent worsening of their health, as they cannot keep the body temperature stable and necessary; fresh air passed through an anti-bacterial filter having a certain proportion of moisture; they need a quiet environment where their sleep cannot be divided, nursing care and doctor supervision. Baby incubators are produced to meet this requirement. The incubators are manufactured according to TS EN 60601-2-19 standard. The devices specified in the standard which are successful in the performance tests are driven to the market. In addition, these tests are carried out at certain times for quality control purposes in each country. There is no product in the market that will carry out performance tests for quality control on both devices. In this thesis, the technological characteristics, measurement capacities and measurement accuracy of the equipment that will provide performance tests of both devices are examined. As a result of the examinations, it is seen that there is no problem in the equipments used for performance tests in the same equipment. For all measurements, experimental results are compared with the reference (calibrator) values. Results show that sensor values are in good agreement with the expected (calibrated) values.
