In this thesis, hot water circulating pumps of energy consumptions are investigated for stuations of constant and variable operation in Dokuz Eylül University Hospital. At the case of available with use three-way valve and constant speed pump, energy consumption is calculated and compared energy consumption with use two-way valve and variable speed pumps. Also, the return water temperature is calculated by using two-way valve and variation of geothermal fluid consumption is indicated.At a constant pump head pressure, electric energy saving that % 35 is provided by using central variable speed pump for all of the heating system and electric energy saving that % 46 is provided with use of variable speed pumps instead of each pump of available. Also, the state of variation of pump head pressure with flow comparatively is investigated. In this application, electric energy saving that % 83 is provided by using central variable speed pump and electric energy saving that % 86 is provided with use of variable speed pumps instead of each pump of available. Using variable speed pump and two-way valve, annual average return water temperature decreases about 25 ? C and consumption of geothermal fluid is reduced percentage of %33.Keywords: Variable speed pump; Geothermal heating; Hydronic balance; Control valve
