Özet (EN)

There has been rapid increase in the demand for renewable energy sources. This increase is driven largely by depleting fossil fuel supplies and the increase in greenhouse gas emissions. Photovoltaic (PV) systems, are one of the more outstanding renewable energy sources, generates electricity directly from sunlight, silently and safely to the environment. The control of PV output power is the main obstruction to owing to many reasons such as fluctuation of weather. The aim of this work is to design and implement an advanced inverter for the PV solar system. The contribution of this work to renewable energy technology is the development of small size and low cost but high performance inverter. The proposed design can be divided into two parts. The first part is the synchronous DC-DC buck-boost converter, which demonstrates the process of utilization of energy and the way of converting it into useful energy. The converter harvests the maximum amount of energy produced from solar panels using PIC16F88 and storing this energy in batteries. The second part is DC-AC voltage source inverter. All home and other appliances are operated by AC power. Therefore, the energy must be converted into AC type. Atmega16 "Fast PWM Mode" of the AVR as an embedded system part of the DC-AC inverter has been developed. the inverter developed in this study has been both simulated by software platform and realized. The practical and simulation results showed that the inverter has high level of conformity.
