Abstract (EN)

This study aims to determine the problems that counselors working in public schools experience with school administrations. In this regard, the opinions of counselors working in different schools were consulted. The research used case study design, one of the qualitative research methods. The study group of the research consisted of 12 counselors working in Kepez, Muratpaşa and Konyaaltı districts of Antalya. A semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used as a data collection tool. While analyzing the data, it was categorized by the researcher in terms of meaning and content, and answers with similar meaning and content were included in these categories. According to the results obtained, establishing a healthy cooperation and understanding between counselors and school administrators will directly increase the quality of guidance services and their impact on students. The results also show that school administrators have a significant impact on guidance counselors and psychological counselors. Greater awareness and training for managers will increase their professional and ethical behavior and can help create a more fair and supportive working environment for all employees. In this case, it is expected to improve the general atmosphere of the school and increase the quality of educational services.
