The aim of this research is to determine the job satisfaction and burnout levels of permanent primary school teachers working in Balıkesir Altıeylül public primary schools and the regular primary school teachers working under Balıkesir Altıeylül National Education Directorate and to compare them according to different variables. The research was designed according to the relational scanning model, one of the general scanning models that is descriptive in nature. The sample group of this research consists of 200 permanent primary school teachers and 65 over-the-norm primary school teachers working in Balıkesir Altıeylül central district, who can be reached by easy sampling method. A personal information form was used to determine the personal information of the primary school teachers participating in the research, the Minessota Job Satisfaction Scale was used to determine the job satisfaction level, and the Maslach Burnout Inventory Educator Form was used to determine the burnout levels. In the analysis of the data obtained at the end of the research, percentage calculations (%), frequency distribution (f), arithmetic (x) mean, t test (t), one-way analysis of variance (F) and regression analysis were used. According to the research results; It was observed that there was a significant difference between the burnout and job satisfaction levels of the permanent primary school teachers who participated in the research according to the variables of gender, age, years of service, weekly lesson hours, number of students in the primary school, social environment satisfaction and professional satisfaction. It was concluded that there was a significant difference between the burnout levels of overstaffed primary school teachers who participated in the research according to the variables of gender and professional satisfaction, and between their job satisfaction levels according to the variables of the number of students in the primary school, satisfaction with the social environment, and receiving adequate support from the school administration. The relationship between the job satisfaction levels of the primary school teachers participating in the study and the sub-dimensions of burnout was examined; It has been determined that there is a strong positive relationship between the job satisfaction levels of permanent primary school teachers and their emotional exhaustion and personal accomplishment levels. It was concluded that there was a moderate positive relationship between the job satisfaction levels and personal success levels of overstaffed primary school teachers, but there was no relationship between job satisfaction levels and emotional exhaustion levels.
