Abstract (EN)
In today's increasingly competitive environment, the power of knowledge is one of the most decisive factors. It is very important for decision makers to make quick and suitable decisions using useful information in line with the goals and objectives set. Management Information Systems (MIS) help decision makers to make fast and accurate decisions. This study aimed to determine the relative activity status of MIS departments in public and private universities in Turkey within the 2019-2020 academic period by using data enveloping analysis (DEA) and to determine the amount of output that relatively inactive universities should have in order to become active within reference sets. In line with this, output-oriented CCR (minimize input) and BCC (maximize output) models are used from the DEA models and relative effectiveness of the scale was also defined by determining 3 input (number of students, number of academic staff and university entrance base score) and 2 output variables (the number of graduate students and the publication points). DEAP Version 2.1, one of the software packages is used for DEA application, the results are tabulated and explained.
