Effects of diabetes on endometrium receptivity and ovary

Abstract (EN)
The Relatıonshıp Of The Complaınts Of Applyıng To The Emergency Department Of Women Of Reproductıve Age Wıth Premenstrual Syndrome INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVE: This study is to detect changes in the endometrial receptivity and ovaries of obese/Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) mice obtained through streptozotosin (STZ) and high fat diet (HFD) nutrition, as well as the levels of important hormones in the female reproductive system such as AMH. It is aimed to examine Ovarian and Uterine immunohistochemical methods, to compare AMH hormone levels and to associate these parameters with DM. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The 10-week experiment was created with BALB/C female mice at Sakarya University Faculty of Medicine Experimental Medicine Applications and Research Center (SÜDATEM). Power analysis was determined as 7 mice (n=7) diabetes group and 7 mice (n=7) as control group according to literature information. Diabetes working group was created with HFD and STZ application, no substances were applied to the control group. Dissection, uterus, ovarian tissues of the groups were collected, blood samples were taken. VEGF, Ki67 immunohistochemical dyeing method was applied in uterus and endometrium, histological dyeing with hematoxylane&eozin was examined in light microscope. AMH level measurement was performed in the blood collected for biochemical analysis. RESULTS: Compared to the data at the beginning and end of the study; 4 of the study in diabetes (D) groups. From the week, weight values decreased statistically significantly according to the weight values of the control group. When the hunger blood glucose data is examined; fasting blood glucose values increased significantly in diabetes groups according to control groups. (P<0.05). In the data obtained in the evaluation of follicle numbers; Primordial, primary, while there is no statistical difference between groups in their numbers; secondary, antral follicle and corpus luteum numbers were significantly higher in the control group compared to the diabetes group (P<0.01). When ovarian weights were compared, it was found that the average ovarian weight values in the diabetes group were lower than in the control group. Results of Ki-67 and VEGF immnuhistochemical dyeing of ovary and endometrium showed statistically significant differences between the groups for both ovarian and endometrium. In each comparison, the average values in the control group were found to be higher. When we compared AMH mg/dl values between the two groups, it was seen that AMH values were higher in the control group than in the diabetes group. P=0.001. CONCLUSION: Diabetes; it was observed that it may have negative effects on follicle formation and implantation and delivery in the continuation of pregnancy.
