An anatomical, morphological and palynological study on Dianthus lydus Boiss. ve Dianthus zonatus Fenzl (Caryophyllaceae)

In this study, Dianthus lydus and D. zonatus species from the Family of Caryopyhllaceae are researched the anatomical, morphological and palinological properties in Turkey. Both species are perennials. Type samples of the species we work are defined by gathering, Manisa Sipil Mountain and Taurus Mountains from Turkey. The study started before the morphological examination of the plant samples collected from the land, and then fixed in 70% alcohol for use in anatomical studies. The preparations prepared by the hand cross-sectional method are painted by Saffranine, Fast-Green and Alcian Blue and the measurements of anatomical structures were evaluated. The druz crystals are greater and pronounced in D. zonatus, and druz crystals are noteworthy in the root cortex in both types. In the anatomy of the leaves, D. lydus has palizate and sponge parenchyma in the mesophyl tissue, while D. zonatus consists of uniform cells, except the leaf end parts and the main vessels in the main vessels, and the mesophyll layer is uniform and does not have the separation of palisate and sponge. D. lydus is available bunch of scabbard on leaf transmission bundles. The results are shown with photos and tables. The pollens were studied in the light microscope with the preparations of the Wodehouse method. Pollens of both species are tektat, surface ornamentations microechinate (spinulose)-punktate, pollen shapes spheroidal. The diameter of the pollen of D. lydus is larger, the number of pores is more of D. zonatus. Both types can be used to prevent erosion.
