Abstract (EN)

In today's competitive manufacturing environment, businesses must rapidly adapt to customer demands, enhance efficiency, and minimize errors. Digital transfor-mation and Industry 4.0 create significant opportunities in this context, while Ro-botic Process Automation (RPA) offers a concrete solution for automating repeti-tive, rule-based tasks. The carpet industry, characterized by high production rate and complexity, is particularly dependent on effective order management, yet tradi-tional manual entry processes often lead to errors, delays, and high workloads. This study investigates the application of RPA in carpet manufacturing by focusing on order entry processes. Manual workflows were analyzed, order forms were revised, and automation rules implemented through the Kofax RPA platform. Pilot tests were conducted, and adjustments were made based on feedback. The results demon-strate that automation significantly reduced error rates, shortened processing times, and eliminated the need for repetitive manual intervention. Overall, the study high-lights how RPA can serve as both an enabler of digital transformation and a source of measurable efficiency gains in the carpet industry.
