Presentation of news on artificial intelligence in digital media

Artificial intelligence technology is a new phenomenon that profoundly affects social life and is gaining more and more importance in the field of digital media. This phenomenon is quite dynamic and continues to evolve with each new era. For this reason, in recent years, artificial intelligence is among the topics frequently covered in the news. In this sense, the study analyzes the news content by addressing the actors in artificial intelligence news. This study will make an important contribution to understand how topics such as artificial intelligence, deep learning and machine learning are presented to the public in digital media and to identify trends in this field. As a result of the analysis on pro.similarweb, the scope of the study consists of three different news sites that performed the best and were the most read in March 2024. Artificial intelligence-oriented news published on these three different news sites were compiled and classified according to content. Variables such as news sources, frequency of publication, news types and images used were also examined, and search trends for artificial intelligence news were evaluated using Google Trends data. The aim of the study is to reveal how news on artificial intelligence is presented in digital media. The method of the study is content analysis and a coding form was created for this purpose. The universe of the study consists of all news sites broadcasting in digital media, while the sample is the news on artificial intelligence in Hürriyet, Milliyet and Mynet news sites in March 2024.
