Use of typography in the graphic programs of digital environment

Writing that was discovered in 3500 BC has continued improving since that time. Writing that is shaped according to culture that it is in and grows up as parallel of technology development has an important function such as communication and transfering the information to the next generations. Birth of typography in 1450s and typography has entered the digital environment with the meeting with computer that is the most effective and the most important communication tool and typography has evolved seriously for the last 30 years. Importance of typography in digital environment has increased because of providing true and fast communication to the targeted group and considering its importance and function in graphic area. There is a need of making more researches because of increasing importance, its function and this study has been made on the use of typography in digital environment programmes. As a result of study, it is targeted to contribute to have more people get informations about use of typography in digital environment and to increase studies in Turkey in that area.
