Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study is to determine the digital game addiction levels of sports high school students and to determine how this addiction level affects the students' e-learning and motivation. The universe of our study consists of high school level schools in Kahramanmaraş and Adıyaman provinces. The sample consists of sports high school students studying in these provinces. A total of 372 students participated in our study voluntarily. A questionnaire consisting of four sections was used as the data collection tool in the study. In the scale, questions to define the demographic characteristics of the participants, the Sports Specific Achievement Motivation Scale (SÖBMÖ), the validity and reliability analysis of the Turkish form of which was conducted by Tiryaki et al. (1997), the Digital Game Addiction Scale (DOBÖ-7), the validity and reliability analysis of the Turkish form of which was conducted by Irmak and Erdoğan (2016), and the Attitude Towards E-Learning in Sport Scale (SEÖYTÖ) developed by Bozkurt and Tamer (2020) were used. The data was analyzed using the SPSS statistical package program and the significance level was taken as p<0.05. First of all, descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum values) were performed in the analysis of the data. Then, Shapiro Wilk-W test, which is one of the normality tests, was performed to determine the kurtosis and skewness values of the data. As a result of the normality test, independent samples t-Test was used to compare binary unrelated groups, and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to compare more than two unrelated groups. Pearson Correlation analysis was performed to examine the relationship between digital game addiction and attitude towards e-learning in sports, to examine the relationship between Digital Game Addiction and Sport-Specific Achievement Motivation, and to examine the relationship between Sport-Specific Achievement Motivation and Attitude Towards E-Learning in Sports. As a result; It was observed that there was a negative relationship between Digital Game Addiction Level and Attitude Towards E-Learning in Sports and Sport-Specific Achievement Motivation. However, it was determined that there was a positive relationship between Sport-Specific Achievement Motivation and Attitude Towards E-Learning in Sports.
