However, online digital games that are spreaded by internet have been used for entertainment and socialization by all of the society, especially 8-22 age group that is analysed in this research, they caused psychological problems. Digital games have been offering desired life opportunities in the virtual world. The online games are accepted as an entertainment, relaxation and enjoyment tools that satisfy the need of competition. The games allow individuals to get experiences that cannot be put in the practice in real life. The online Blue Whale digital game which has caused controversy in the past years, rapidly spreaded via messages and social media platforms is based on the challenge. The game has a different format than other online games, in which players are meessaged throughout 50 days with tasks that cause psychological problems. In the family, showing the following attitudes are of great importance for living in happiness; clear, deliberate, appreciative words, reminding duties and responsibilities, encouraging fairness, love and respect, ensuring consociationalism, equalitarianism and sincere communication. Mediated interpersonal communication which is taken place in the virtual world has an important part in the individual lives. The impacts of virtual world on young people during building their own identities are so perturbative rather than positive affects. Nowadays, all people must have been informed about media literacy from childhood with the help of technological development and the spread of digitalization. Considering the relationship between digital game player's behavior and family member's communication, this research analyses 8-22 age group that are playing digital game named Blue Whale which has recently become common, leads to many controversies and showed as a reason of harming themselves. Furthermore, reasons for playing and the content of the game has been examined. Additionally, because of the Covid -19 outbreak in 2020, people's digital game playing behaviors have been changed during the quarantine period.
