Abstract (EN)
In today's technology, three-dimensional printers and computer-controlled CNC devices have been developed, and artists have made prints by shaping molds with these devices. Some artists have produced similar prints with traditional methods using the molds they have obtained with CNC devices, while others have made production by making use of the components in the background of these devices. In this study, experimental printmaking, in which the traditional printmaking rules began to change in the 1950s, digital printmaking, the first examples of which emerged in the 1960s, and post-digital printmaking, which includes new technologies such as 3D printers, CNC devices and laser abrasives, which started in the 2000s and continued until today, were examined. This study has been handled in three parts on the axis of technological infrastructure, digital printmaking and post-digital printmaking. In the first part of the study, the development of computer and CNC technologies, which are the main components of post digital printmaking, is explained. In the second part, the experimental period and digital printmaking are explained through artist examples and contemporary art movements developed in line with digital technologies are examined by establishing their connections with printmaking. In the last chapter, post digital printmaking is discussed and five artists are examined in this field and the result is reached. With this study, it is aimed to reveal the effects of post digital technologies in the field of printmaking.
