Abstract (EN)

"Differentiation of Digitalised Consumption According to Gender: A Qualitative Research on Electronic Commerce Sites" focuses on the digitalisation of consumption and consumption through electronic commerce sites. Although the phenomenon of consumption has been an important issue for many years, its importance has increased more especially in the social structure we are in, and it has shown its importance not only in terms of vital needs but also in terms of identity and image creation processes of individuals. Consumption, which has gained importance in terms of identity and image creation processes on individuals, has gone through certain processes until it has reached this stage and has gained an important place in the lives of individuals. The stages that consumption has gone through will be discussed in this thesis starting from production processes, then the scope of the concept will be expanded, the current meaning of consumption will be revealed and finally, the differentiation of consumption realised through electronic commerce sites according to gender will be discussed in the findings section in line with the application of qualitative research method and semi-structured interview technique to male and female participants.
