Investigation the effect of attention and coordination exercises on attention, reaction time and eye-hand coordination performance under anaerobic fatigue

The purpose of present study is to examine the effects of attention, and coordination exercise program on attention, eye-hand coordination and reaction time performance in the case of anaerobic fatigue and resting state. In the study there were 26 boys of 18-22 years of age, 13 of whom were in the experiment group and 13 of whom were in the control group. The effect of attention and coordination exercise program was analyzed during 24 sessions 10 minute three times a week for experimental group. Before the research began, experimental and control groups were studied in terms their attention, their hand-eye coordination, reaction time of dominant-recessive hands, grid card performance in case of resting and anaerobic fatigue. In this study; Wingate Anaerobic Test WAnT was used for anaerobic fatigue. Testes were repeated after exercise program in case of resting and anaerobic fatigue. When examining the impact of fatigue on attention; in the Cognigtrone Attention test; It has been observed that there is a significant difference between resting and fatigue conditions in the experimental and control group (p<0.05). Experimental group demonstrated a better performance than the control group after the eight-week training program on the COG attention and grid card test variables. Attention in case of fatigue; after the training program, no statistically significant difference was diagnosed between pre-test and post-test in the experimental group (p>0.05). In the control group; attention score variable has declined and mistake score variable were observed rising. p<0.05). According to reaction time test data; no statistically significant difference was specified between resting and fatigue conditions in the exprerimental group and control group (p>0.05). There was no significant difference in reaction time scores after the training program in exprerimental group and control group in both resting and fatigue conditions (p>0.05). When the eye-hand coordination variable is evaluated; it has been observed that there is a significant difference between resting and fatigue conditions in the experimental and control group (p<0.05). After the training program on the eye-hand coordination in the experimental group; all hand-eye coordination variable has created a significant difference variables, except 'mistake score' variable (p<0.05). In the control group; significant difference on the clockwise time and anticlockwise variables (p<0.05). Eye-hand coordination in case of fatigue; after the training program, scores improved statistically meaningfully on the clockwise time and anticlockwise variables in both experimental and control group (p<0.05). Eye-hand coordination score meaningfully regressed in untrained control group (p<0.05).
