The criteria for evaluation of language learning set and the Arabic language learning sets in Turkey

Learning Arabic by the foreigners for different reasons and in different methods has been a case. A lot of learning materyals have been prepared for a long time. Language learning materyals prepared in the Arab World recently have been effectively used in the governmental and non -governmental areas in Turkey. In this research, initially, in the modern Arab World, the criterias to evaluate the language learning sets for the foreigners have been established. Since language learning set evaluation criterias have not established systematically, the hardest part of this research took place in this section. The criteria based Arabic learning sets in Turkey and in the Arab World are chosen. Following this, the Arabic learning sets in Turkey are evaluated. In this evaluation, each set is analyzed in terms of theoretical structure, syllabus form and the structural factor, monitoring the successful and the unsuccessful areas. These sets are also evaluated in terms of listening, understanding, speaking, reading; the basic Arabic learning abilities. Besides, the sets are evaluated in terms of writing composition and compositional teaching. In conclusion, the Arabic teaching materyals used in Turkey are evaluated as insufficient in terms of achieving targets of Arabic teaching; sytle, syllabus, quality and up to dating. Preparation of new target based and education program based sets is advised.
