Abstract (EN)

This research has been made upon the research of the effects of ?Teacher behavior in teaching the religious culture and moral knowledge? upon the education and teaching.The basic element in the general education as well as in the education of religion is the teacher. For the teacher is component which conveys to the targets set in the education and formation and which permits the educational elements to become functional. The children gain their first religious attitudes and behaviors in their family and their environment. The children, who come to school with these attitudes and behaviors, can face the dilemma according to the information they receive at school. The teacher?s duty is to pull out the student from this deadlock and to give him the right attitude and behavior. This research sets forth the model which can be the best for the child in order for the teacher of Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge to give him the right attitude and behavior. The teacher has a directive effect upon the child with its character, posture and behavior.This study named ?Teacher behavior in teaching the religious culture and moral knowledge? is composed of three parts. In the first part, an outline has been given about the school teaching. In the second part, the characteristics that should be found in a teacher have been dealt. These characteristics are composed of the professional, personal and the religious course teacher?s characteristics. In the third and the last part, a field research has been conducted in order to determine the professional behavior of the teachers of Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge in the district of Çınarcık, province of Yalova and as to what extent they possess the teacher competencies forming these behaviors.
