Abstract (EN)

In this study, four different boundary element formulations are presented for the dynamic soil-structure interaction analysis. The formulations are performed in Fourier transform space by using discontinuous higher-order isoparametric element model and discontinuous mixed element model. In the formulation, as higher order isoparametric elements, discontinuous linear and discontinuous quadratic boundary elements, and as mixed elements, discontinuous first order and second order mixed boundary elements are used. The integral equations are solved numerically by Gaussian quadratures. Based on the formulations presented in this study, eight general purpose computer programs are developed, namely, BEMSL, BEMSKM1, BEMSQ and BEMSKM2 (for two dimensional static analysis) and BEMSL, BEMSKM1, BEMSQ and BEMSKM2 (for two dimensional dynamic analysis). Using the programs, six example problems are solved, and it is found that the results match fairly well with those in the literature.Key Words :Boundary Element Method, Discontinuous Higher-Order Isoparametric Boundary Element, Discontinuous Mixed Boundary Element, Fourier Transform Space, Soil-Structure Interaction.
