Abstract (EN)

In this study, the metal sheet plates used in the metal sheet covers of the filters, which are produced intensively in the automotive sector, were joined by spot welding. Spot welding jointing process on metal sheet sheaths with perforated surface is made from at least two points. The number of spot welds increases with the sheath length. Within the scope of the study, a multi-point electrode design that can weld from more than one point has been made. Welding performances of electrodes with different geometries were investigated. Perforated formed plates were welded to the sheet surface in 0.70 mm thick coated sheets of GZR 1315 quality and uncoated sheets of CCR 7316 quality. The spot weld quality has been demonstrated by mechanical tests and micro/macro structure tests. As a result of the study, the number of welding operations was reduced from 4 to 1 with the designed multi-point electrode.
