Determining parameters of centrifugal casting technique for Cr-Co based alloys

ABSTRACT Today, a number of materials are used in the dental field. These materials are plastics, porcelains, wax, precious and non precious metals. Precious metals used in the dental field are very expensive, therefore the scientists studied a number of studying to obtain non precious metals used in this area and succeeded after 1930's. Investment casting techniques are used in producing both precious and nonprecious metals. The investment casting machine is commonly used. But, parameters in this technique were not determined. In this study, casting parameters for casting made by centrifugal technique are found. The best casting obtained in maximum rate of 600 (turn/min.) and time of 0.2 s which is the time to reach maximum rate. vm
